Friday September 21 was International Peace Day. Riley's school always has their own celebration. Each older child is paired up with a younger child as "peace buddies" who participate together. Riley's peace buddy was Gabriel. Here they are following the peace dove in the procession up to the grassy area where the whole school formed a circle and had a full minute of silence(amazingly enough there was actually no talking!), listened to the head of school talk a little about peace, and joined together in singing a peace song.
Then they headed down to the soccer field to fly the peace kites they had made with their peace buddies. Needless to say, the kites were a big hit!
Davey enjoyed watching.

Nice job again, Crazy Momma, giving us a glimpse into the life of the Rupards -- love the Peace Ceremony -- Riley and his Peace Buddy Gabriel seem to resemble each other... thanks for the continued postings...and keep 'em coming, please!
